Different benches to hear matters subject-wise as per the new roster published by the Supreme Court
A new roster of work is published by the Supreme Court which will be effective from the day of the reopening of the top Court after summer vacation, June 3, 2023. The cases will be allocated to fifteen different benches according to the subject matter such as criminal, arbitration, direct tax, ordinary civil, and others. It was further determined that most of the cases were to be mentioned before the bench headed by Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud. Below are some of the major highlights of the new roster that elaborates a list of judges who will hear different cases as per subject matters.
