“No oral mentioning of matters for urgent listing,” says Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna

Today (November 12, 2024), Chief Justice of India (CJI) Sanjiv Khanna told lawyers, mentioning matters before the Supreme Court bench, that no oral mentioning of matters for urgent listing would be entertained. CJI clarified that an urgent listing of matters must be submitted via email or written slips/letters with the appropriate reason for the emergency. He said, “No oral mentioning, send by emails or written letters.”
