The Constitution bench of the Supreme Court (SC) of India will pronounce its verdict in the Article 370 abrogation case on Monday, December 11, 2023. The judgment will be delivered by a five-judge bench comprising Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, Justice Sanjiv Khanna, Justice Surya Kant, Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul, and Justice BR Gavai. On September 05, 2023, the SC bench reserved the judgment after hearing the contentions and arguments for 16 days. In this matter, over 20 petitions were filed before the SC against the 2019 decision of the Central government to abrogate Article 370 of the Constitution of India resulting in the revocation of the special status of Jammu and Kashmir.
