On September 18, 2024 (Wednesday), the Supreme Court of India passed an office order stating that Hon’ble Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud re-constituted the Supreme Court Gender Sensitisation and Internal Complaints Committee. Justice BV Nagarathna has been appointed as the new Chairperson of the Supreme Court Gender Sensitisation and Internal Complaints Committee after Justice Hima Kohli's retirement, who was heading the committee earlier. The September 18 order also states that the Committee is formed as per the Gender Sensitisation & Sexual Harassment of Women at the Supreme Court of India (Prevention, Prohibition & Redressal) Regulations, 2013.
