Supreme Court designates 39 Advocates as Senior Advocates including 10 women Advocates

Today (August 14, 2024, Wednesday), the Supreme Court (SC) of India designated 39 Advocates as Senior Advocates. Among those 39 Advocates, 10 advocates are women. This was mentioned in a notification issued by the top court containing the names of those Advocates designated as Senior Advocates. The notification reads, “In a Full Court Meeting held on Wednesday, 14 August 2024, the Chief Justice of India and the Judges of the Supreme Court of India have designated the following Advocates as Senior Advocates with effect from 14 August 2024:

  8. Mr. Davinder Pal Singh, Advocate

In January this year, the SC designated 56 lawyers as Senior Advocates which include 11 women.
