Supreme Court judges with officials from its registry celebrate International Yoga Day at the Yoga and Recreation Hall

As June 21, 2023, is observed as the International Day of Yoga, the Supreme Court of India also celebrated the International Day of Yoga along with all the officials from its registry. Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud along with the other Supreme Court judges, officers, and staff members actively participated in the event. The event was held at 8:30 am at the Yoga and Recreation Hall. The hall is located on the 4th floor of ‘A’ Block in the Additional Building Complex of the Supreme Court. Justice Pankaj Mithal, Justice PS Narasimha, and Justice Sudhanshu Dhulia took part in the yoga session. 

On March 23, 2023, CJI Chandrachud inaugurated the Yoga and Recreation Hall for the officials of the Supreme Court Registry. After the inauguration, judges along with the CJI indulged themselves in different activities such as carrom and Table Tennis. Last year, the Bar Council of India took an initiative to encourage various State Bar Councils and Bar Associations throughout the country to celebrate International Yoga by organizing camps every year on June 21.
