Centre Notifies Appointment Of Justice Manmohan, Chief Justice Of Delhi High Court, As A Judge of the Supreme Court

Today (December 03, 2024), the Ministry of Law and Justice has officially announced the appointment of Justice Manmohan, Chief Justice of the Delhi High Court, as a judge of the Supreme Court. The Central Government published a notification notifying that Justice Manmohan was appointed as the Judge of the Supreme Court. Also, Union Minister of Law and Justice Arjun Ram Meghwal announced the appointment in a post on his official β€˜X’ (earlier known as Twitter) handle, β€œIn exercise of the powers conferred by the Constitution of India, the President, after consultation with Chief Justice of India, is pleased to appoint Shri Justice Manmohan, Chief Justice, High Court of Delhi as a Judge of the Supreme Court of India.” Earlier on November 28, 2024, the Supreme Court Collegium constituting Chief Justice of India Sanjiv Khanna, Justice BR Gavai, Justice Abhay S Oka, Justice Hrishikesh Roy, and Justice Surya Kant issued a resolution recommending Justice Manmohan, Chief Justice of Delhi High Court, to be appointed as a judge of the Supreme Court of India.
