Apex Court Collegium decided to transfer three HC judges.

The Collegium of the Top Court led by CJI D Y Chandrachud has noted the transfer of 3 HC judges for the purpose of reasons of administration.

The Collegium of 5 members noted the transfer of the Acting Chief Justice T Raja of Madras High court for Rajasthan HC, And other two Justices Nikhil S Kariel and Justice A Abhishek Reddy  got transferred to the HC of Patna.

Acting Chief Justice of Madra High Court was appointed as Temporary judge on ad hoc basis of Madras HC on 31st March, 2009 and took charge as Madras High Court Acting CJ from 22nd September,2022. 

Nikhil S Kariel is presently a justice at the Gujarat HC, and A Abhishek Reddy is presently at Telangana High court.

Press documents on Resolutions of Collegium made the protests at the respective high courts of respective judges by the advocates.

From the Top Court sources, Collegium took this administration decision last Wednesday with consultation with other Justice of Collegium SK Kaul, SA Nazeer, KM Joseph and MR Shah.

Justice Nikhil S Kariel was elevated to Gujarat High Court on 4th October 2020.

Justice Reddy was elevated as permanent judge of Telangana High Court on 26th August, 2019 .
