Supreme Court rejects petition by Cyrus Mistry to review judgment in Tata Mistry case

The Supreme Court has rejected the petition filed by Cyrus Mistry to review the judgment within the Tata-Mistry dispute.

The court mentioned that there have been no grounds on which the choice may be reviewed. The Supreme Court had ruled in favour of Tatas in one among the bitterest boardroom battles. 

The case pertained to cross-appeals filed by Tata Sons and Cyrus Investments with regard to the restoration of Cyrus Mistry because the executive chairman of Tata Sons by the NCLAT through a December 2019 order.

In this case, well-settled principles were overturned by NCLAT, the Supreme Court had observed while delivering the decision.
