The Supreme Court (SC) of India to consider the petitions seeking review of the judgment refusing to recognize same-sex marriages on July 10, 2024. The review petitions are listed before a new bench because two judges (Justice Sanjay Kishan Kaul and Justice S Ravindra Bhatt) of the 5-judge bench that delivered the judgment, Supriyo @ Supriya Chakraborty vs. Union of India, have retired. The retired members of the bench will be replaced by Justice Sanjiv Khanna and Justice BV Nagarathna; therefore, the 5-judge bench to hear the matter on July 10 constitutes Chief Justice of India DY Chandrachud, Justice PS Narasimha, Justice Hima Kohli, Justice Nagarathna, and Justice Khanna.
